Apple has a tendency to claim that they have revolutionized every product out on the market. It was no surprise when Tim Cook took to the stage to announce the Apple Watch and called it the watch that will revolutionize the Smartwatch industry.
I do think Tim is missing one tiny thing; the Apple Watch is shockingly bad. Honestly, how can anyone have the guts to get up on that stage and call something like the Apple Watch a revolutionary device? I hate everything about it.
I was honestly expecting it to be so much better and while I’m not a big fan of Smartwatches, I was secretly hoping the Apple Watch would make Android up their game. Unfortunately, the Moto 360 Smartwatch crushes the Apple Watch any day of the week. It’s also no surprise that it’s about half the price of the Apple Watch and offers insane levels of customization. If the rumors of Google allowing Android wearable devices to work on the iPhone are true, then Apple is in for a tough test.
Let’s not forget the the Moto 360 smartwatch can be used with your Android smartphone and Chromebook. It will unlock your phone, which in turn can be used to unlock your Chromebook. If you pair the Moto 360 with a high end Android smartphone and a top Chromebook, you should have enough technology to last you a decade.
Let’s not forget that the Apple Watch looks absolutely terrible. In my opinion, it looks like one of those toys you get in a cereal box. I just can’t believe Apple would expect anyone to pay over $300 for such a terrible watch.
There are a few good features but certainly nothing revolutionary. I know people will think I’m a hater but what is it with this obsession for Apple? Seriously, why are people willing to pay crazy amounts of money for stuff that is nowhere near as good as the competition?
I understand why people buy iPhones. There is no doubt that they are really user-friendly and look great. Heck, even I’m a big fan of the new iPhone 6. But, the Apple Watch even looks terrible so it’s really got nothing going for it.
To finish this off, let me just say that the Apple Watch is most certainly not revolutionary. Apple has always been making big claims and usually they have got it right. The sales certainly back them up. This time though, I think it’s going to be an epic fail. To me, the Apple watch is like Beats headphones. It will appeal to the “fashionable” people but it’s an overpriced piece of junk.
